As you know, Denny built the Super Chief from which our Drifters were derived.

The way this will work is as follows:

1) Submit any questions you might have to me directly via email. Chief@VulcanDrifterRiders.com.

2) I will combine all the questions into a single email and send to Denny. He will answer at his convenience.

3) I will post the Question, the Questioner's name and Denny's answers on the VDR website. I will also let everyone know via the forum etc when it goes up.

Denny has indicated there is some additional history being developed for the Drifter and he will be sending that info to us as soon as it is completed for inclusion on the website.

So, now is your chance... send your question and your name (real and nick) to me ASAP. I would like to send him the questions by the end of the week if possible.Chiefhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05501546048804576301noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235724006124044059.post-50156043331911628562008-05-29T12:59:00.002-05:002008-05-29T13:03:29.412-05:00Featured Drifter for June 2008
Congratuations to Glenn "GatorGlenn" Backer. Wednesday. Its big and the quality is much better than I had anticipated. Definitely a winner.

We will be making more and we will be making a couple of different sizes. This one is 11 x 17 - very heavy glossy paper and the pic quality is very good, IMHO.

Here are some calendars we will be making once we have all the pics:

1) Drifter Riders - ie pics of drifters AND their riders
2) Scenic Drifters - Landscapes with drifters in them.
3) Event calendars - After the fact, in most cases, calendars of drifter events.
4) Personal Calendars - 12 months of YOUR bike.

And any other ideas you might have.

So, if you want to participate and have your bike in one or more of these calendars, here's what you need to do....

1) take hi-res pics of your bike. At least 200dpi and 2000 pixels per inch... higher is better.
2) Send the pics with details on you and the bike. To: calendar@VulcanDrifterRiders.com

Of course this calendar is for sale right now. If your bike isn't in the calendar and you'd like a calendar with your bike in it, send us a pic and give us a few days to make another version of this calendar.

You can get to the store via the VDR site / Calendars, or go directly to here.
http://www.cafepress.com/motorgear.240219580

Man, I love this calendar.

CheersChiefhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05501546048804576301noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235724006124044059.post-71616462550924401482008-03-23T02:56:00.003-05:002008-03-23T03:03:27.006-05:00Drifter StuffI got samples of the new drifter stuff today...

HATS:
The light colored hats are relatively light weight, the graphics on
the khaki cap didn't have enough contrast. I fixed that problem. The
black cap looks very good. I like the khaki colored and with the
modified graphics it should be pretty good.

Shirts:
The light colored T's are average to good quality - not as heavy as
the black and red shirts we currently have available. Again, the
graphics weren't contrasting well. Also, the rear graphic can only be
10 inches wide regardless of the shirt size. The black and red ones
on the store are modified based upon the shirt size. My wife liked
the lady's stuff. Not bad. We max'd out the size and changed the text
colors. You will see that on the site. If you want light colored
shirts, these will work.

We are still selling the high quality black or red, long or short
sleeved vdr shirts here:
http://www.autoandmotorcycle.com/merchant.ihtml?id=55&step=2

The light colored shirts reviewed above are being sold here:
http://www.cafepress.com/motorgear

Mugs:
The mugs were simply terrific. I did the one with my bike including
the background and one of the vdr logo... both turned out really
nice. I like these a lot and will be doing some more of them.

Calendars:
I already reviewed the calendar. Very impressive. We've added
additional types. The year print calendar is a nice way to showcase a
single bike.

Clock:
The clock is worth the price, they are reasonable sized, but they are
the inexpensive plastic type.

DRIFT-INTO-RENO 2008:
ALSO, the DRIFT-INTO-RENO 2008 shirts, hats etc are now available.
Other events will be covered as appropriate.

Stuff available at:
http://www.cafepress.com/motorgear

CheersChiefhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05501546048804576301noreply@blogger.com0
